Aches and pains during pregnancy? Get some help with tips from the Alexander Technique! Alexander Technique is a method of postural awareness so that women can keep moving through pregnancy adjusting their alignment to the changes in their bodies, as well as helping to relieve the discomforts of back-pain, neck pain, and sciatica. It's also very useful at relieving stress and allowing for easier breathing (an excellent tool during labor).
Workshop will involve some movement that you can apply to your daily life as well as guided relaxation work, and you will come away with some new tools for your self-care practice. Taught by certified AT teachers Sarah Mayhan and Sarah Mauney, who also bring their own experiences applying Alexander work to pregnancy and postpartum self-care. Class is taught with verbal instruction and gentle, hands-on guidance through movement.
