We usually think we need to put special time aside for connecting to our deeper selves. What if you could take your most boring chore and transform it into a profound opportunity to get in touch with your body and become more present? In this workshop, somatic practitioner Jeremy Cohn will use a century old method called the Alexander Technique to turn the mundane movements of life--sitting, standing, walking, using a phone--into meditative forms you can use to bust tension, connect to your breath, and learn how to move with more ease and efficiency. He will then take activities suggested by attendees and teach you how to hack them to make them freer, simpler, and more present. Great for anyone who wants to build a better connection to their body and live a healthier, fuller life.
Feel free to bring in any chore/activity that you would like to apply the Alexander Technique towards. (e.g. Bring your iron/ironing board to learn how to make ironing more fun and mindful!)
