Alexandra Kassouf (she/they) teaches at The Open Space, her Alexander Technique and voice studio in the Fine Arts Building. She offers private lessons and small group work. She is a current adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she teaches Alexander Technique for the Performer. Alexandra has taught workshops at North Central College, the University of Memphis, the Florentine Opera, Civic Music Milwaukee, and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. She certified in 2019, completing her training at Alexander Technique Training in Chicago (ATTiC) with Daria Okugawa, and she is an active member of AmSAT. She also trained in the Art of Running and enjoys working with runners of all levels.

Aiming to make the Alexander Technique accessible, Alexandra maintains a free resource of guided constructive rest talks, AT Constructive Rest, along with colleague Kateri Gormley. Whether she is teaching AT or something else, Alexandra's favorite aspect of teaching is empowering students to make thoughtful choices, instead of choices guided by fear. When she isn’t teaching, Alexandra enjoys gardening, running, and being curious about all sorts of new things. The Alexander Technique has been an invaluable tool for bringing her whole, integrated self into all her pursuits.
