Sarah certified as a teacher of the Alexander Technique at Alexander Technique Training in Chicago (ATTiC) under Daria Okugawa. She is a member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) and teaches individual lessons and group workshops in the Wicker Park area of Chicago. Sarah believes that Alexander Technique is a wonderful tool for “learning how to learn” and works with her students to apply their AT work to their goals and interests.

Sarah first learned of the technique while taking a summer conservatory course at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and found it helped with the physical demands of performing onstage. She later returned to Alexander lessons in order to help recover from a repetitive strain injury due to a busy office job.

Sarah has particular experience with:

  • performing artists who want to be more expressive and avoid injury

  • active seniors who would like to work on their balance and walking

  • office workers who would like to avoid repetitive strain injuries or use more confident body language in the workplace

  • people in the caring or helping professions who would like to manage their energy

  • expecting and new parents who are adapting to the physical and emotional demands of pregnancy and parenthood

Sarah hosts the Poised & Powerful Parenting podcast, which focuses on health and wholeness during the new parenthood journey, which shared in-depth interviews and AT-inspired guided audio practices.
