Christine Betsill: Andersonville
Christine Betsill teaches the Alexander Technique in the Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhoods on the northwest side of Chicago. She is currently adjunct faculty at Columbia College Chicago where she teaches Alexander Technique for Dancers. She has been studying the Alexander Technique since 2001. She trained at the London Centre for Alexander Technique and Teaching (LCATT) from 2010-2012 and completed her training at the Alexander Technique Training in Chicago (ATTiC), certifying in 2014. Christine has worked extensively with Joan and Alex Murray, Refia Sacks, Daria Okugawa, Judith Kleinman, Roger Kidd, and Ilana Machover. She has a Bachelors degree in Music and a MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.
Christine is passionate about working with people from all backgrounds. She specializes in working with:
- Pregnant women, new mothers, or parents who need assistance with the challenges of raising young children
- Dancers, Actors, Musicians and performers of all kinds
- Visual Artists
- Professionals who spend prolonged periods sitting or working at computers
- School-aged children and those who educate them
